Installing awesome is pretty straightforward:

	tar xzvf awesome.tar.gz
	cd awesome
	make
	make install

will install awesome in /usr/local.
Note that you'll need [`libconfuse`](http://www.nongnu.org/confuse/), X developement files and [`cairo`](http://cairographics.org/) installed first.
